CrannMed has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead a skilled, talented, and passionate project team as we develop innovative solutions in embolisation therapies.


  • The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects with teams comprising of engineers, scientists, quality, and regulatory assurance personnel.
  • Manage one or more large product development projects which involve the development of embolisation therapies.
  • Manage and solve project challenges by using problem solving tools, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Responsible for preparing project updates and reports for communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish priorities and ensure all team members are aligned and focused on resolving issue which impact these. Overall task and workload management of team members to achieve milestones.
  • Manage all project objectives and actions, in particular, those associated with risk, cost and execution.
  • Lead the assimilation of clinical requirements and user needs – monitor and interpret external inputs and information.
  • Lead the team through clinical evaluations and commercial launch.
  • Create an environment that promotes innovation, problem solving, use of engineering and design first principles balanced against on time execution, delivery of milestones and objectives.
  • Focus on developing the team to ensure that we have high performance.
  • Motivate the team through positive communication, celebration of successes, and collaboration activities.
  • Create a toolbox of project management tools and practices that can be used by the core project team.

Background & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Engineering/Science or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management within medical devices environment.
  • A PMP or equivalent project management accreditation is an advantage.
  • Experience with systems used to deliver permanent or semi-permanent implants would be a distinct advantage (note these can be implantable beads or metal implants such as stents, filters, valves, shunts etc.).
  • Experience with engaging with clinicians, gathering market / user requirements.
  • Experience with project launch planning.
  • A strong problem solver with knowledge and experience of DMAIC or other problem solving tools.
  • Experience working in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Experience of project management of core technical work packages, creation of project plans, risk mitigation, stakeholder analysis and communication.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – English.
