CrannMed has expanded into new premises.

The company, which formed in 2018, is moving to 6,000 sq ft premises in the Galway Technology Park, Parkmore, Galway. This new space enables us to bring all the manufacturing processes into a single facility and accommodates the rapidly expanding team. The new CrannMed premises includes start of the art laboratories, a Class 100,000 Cleanroom for device manufacturing and will enable full supply chain management of finished medical devices.

Liam Farrissey, CEO of CrannMed, said: “Our new premises represent a major milestone, and this along with the recent expansion of our team will position us well to bring our embolisation devices to market. We are thankful of the support we have received from the GMIT Innovation Hub through the early years of CrannMed.”

George McCourt, Head of Innovation & Enterprise, GMIT added: “CrannMed expanded several times in the GMIT iHub over the last 3 years driven by additional staff and R&D requirements. We are delighted to have been part of that journey with CrannMed providing support to early-stage start-ups at that critical time. We wish Liam and the team continued success in their new premises.”
